Евромиф — название, которое даёт Европейская комиссия историям в средствах массовой информации (СМИ) о своей общесоюзной политике, которые она считает ложными или явно преувеличенными[1][2].
В то же время, евроскептики считают, что такие истории часто являются правдивыми, а враждебная реакция СМИ должна быть причиной отказаться от непопулярной политики[3]. Они также могут использовать название «евромиф».
Европейский союз ввёл политику публичного опровержения негативного освещения, которое он рассматривает как несправедливое или искажённое изображение[4].

Euromyths provide great fun for journalists. The media has a mission to entertain, and some of them rise magnificently to that goal, Mr Cook said. "But they are failing in their other mission – to inform. From now on, the Government will be rebutting all such stories vigorously and promptly. You will be hearing the catchphrase 'facts, not myths' until that is the way the EU is reported.
