Gulella (лат.) — род брюхоногих моллюсков из семейства Streptaxidae (Streptaxoidea, Eupulmonata). Описано более 400 видов. Распространены в регионе Афротропики[2].

Описание
[править | править код]Раковины мелкие, у многих видов имеют высоту около 5 мм. Это самый распространенный и разнообразный род Streptaxidae в Южной Африке. Большинство видов обитает на земле, в листовой подстилке, под бревнами и камнями[4][5][6]. Практически полностью отсутствуют поведенческие и аутэкологические данных по Gulella s.l. В единственном серьезном поведенческом исследовании, включающем вид Gulella (как Maurennea poutrini [Germain, 1918]), Герлах (Gerlach, 1999) обнаружил, что различные подвижные мелкие наземные улитки, но не слизни, подвергались нападению и поедались. Представители рода имеют крупные гениталии (особенно пенис; редкое явление у Stylommatophora), обладают острыми пениальными крючками; при этом влагалище короткое и утонченное[7].

Систематика
[править | править код]Более 400 видов и 200 подвидов или синонимов[7] (более 1000 таксонов было описано в составе Gulella)[8]. В основном афротропический род Gulella и космополитный тропический род Huttonella рассматриваются родственными группами в составе подсемейства Ptychotrematinae из семейства Streptaxidae (Streptaxoidea, Eupulmonata)[3].
