With Gparted on #! LiveCD deleted the swap partition, created a new extended partition and included a new swap (logical drive), remember to right click on the swap in Gparted and "turn on" and a new FAT32 storage partition (logical drive), within the extended partition. I also had to edit the etc/fstab to mount the FAT32 partition and update etc/fstab to include the swap. When I posted this question, I didn't fully understand the difference between primary, secondary, and logical partitions. The max 4 includes primary and extended. However, once you establish an extended partition, you can create many more (although I don't know how many) logical partitions that do not count towards your max 4 primary/extended partitions. Hopefully my troubles will help others with similar problems.
